Hi, I’m Savannah Barrett.

I’m a Charleston-based artist, originally from Greenville, South Carolina. My work explores landscapes, wildlife, and the peaceful scenery that surrounds me.

Earning my degree in Art History has given me a deeper appreciation for the ways artist have captured landscapes, light, color, and the sense of place throughout history. I’m especially drawn to landscapes that feel bright, playful, and full of life. I love the process of turning a familiar scene into something more colorful and expressive.

Birds have also become a central part of my paintings. Living in Charleston, I’m surrounded by incredible wildlife and a wide variety of birds, each with its own place within the landscape. I’m drawn to the ease with which they inhabit the world, completely at home in their surroundings, something I’ve always felt I’ve struggled with.

Through my paintings, I hope to capture that same sense of connection to the natural world and create scenes that invite you to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the beauty around you.
